  • Automation Address is a company headquartered in Monza (Italy) that designs, develops and maintains packaging machines for mailing and labelling markets, since 1990.
  • Needs
  • Automation Address had to face a significant IT infrastructure renewal, since the system – made up of a server and several clients – had more than 10 years and proved to be obsolete for the needs of a growing business. Moreover, the company required an application renovation too, but the new management software couldn’t integrate with the pre-existing legacy system. Finally, Automation Address needed to introduce business continuity measures within its systems, to prevent production slowdowns or interruptions.

  • TechLane’s solution
  • To meet all the customer’s needs, we designed a solution that included: two servers, a NAS (Network Attached Storage) and a backup system. The new infrastructure guarantees the data copy on a second server in 5 seconds only, to ensure business continuity in case the primary server doesn’t work. As for the software, we used Microsoft Windows Server, since it was included in the chosen solution and therefore addressing cost-saving requirements. The integration with NAS Qnap and back-up software Altaro serve the need of managing local data copy and centralizing data storage in a quality device, accessible to all network hubs. Implementation, that typically implies long procedures and the suspension of ordinary business operations, took 15 minutes only.
